Position Overview: RPA Developer

As part of SouthState’s digital transformation, the RPA Developer will play a key role in enhancing efficiency through automation. This position supports scaling operations by automating processes within the bank’s core systems and partner platforms. The role involves designing and orchestrating automation workflows while following Agile/SCRUM principles.

Strong communication with business units and third-party vendors is essential, as is the ability to develop solutions that streamline processes and lower operational costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply RPA best practices in design and implementation

  • Mentor junior developers and collaborate with system support teams

  • Develop and configure advanced RPA solutions tailored to business needs

  • Evaluate business processes and design automation strategies

  • Create reusable components to simplify automation efforts

  • Support testing and implementation in line with change management policies

  • Maintain proper environment separation (testing, UAT, production)

  • Translate business needs into functional automation workflows

  • Design flexible, scalable automation solutions

  • Manage time effectively and meet project deadlines

  • Work within Agile/SCRUM frameworks

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft .NET (VB.NET, C#)

  • Experience with RPA platforms (UiPath and Nintex preferred)

  • Familiar with on-premise and cloud implementations of UiPath

  • Skilled in creating scalable automation solutions using both attended and unattended bots

  • Strong background in SQL and working with APIs (REST)

  • Experience using Git/GitHub for version control

  • Understanding of AI applications in automation (e.g., document understanding, computer vision)

  • Knowledge of core banking systems (Fiserv Premier preferred)

  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)

  • Over 3.5 years of software development experience, especially in complex automation

  • UiPath RPA Developer certification is a plus

Work & Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to read and work extensively on a computer

  • Remote work is allowed but requires a quiet, secure home office with a stable internet connection (cable or fiber preferred)

Salary Info (Colorado)

The salary range for this role is estimated between $74,400 and $118,848, with actual offers based on qualifications and experience.
