About the Role

Overview

As a member of the business technology team, you will analyze business needs and challenges, and help research and develop effective technical solutions. You will participate in different stages of the systems life cycle depending on your skills and experience. You will use your specialized knowledge to monitor, assess, and evaluate processes and data, making informed recommendations based on your analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine system requirements, including how programs interact and how components and subsystems connect.

  • Suggest whether to develop new code or reuse existing code.

  • Propose new technologies and methods to management to meet business goals, solve problems, and seize opportunities. Stay updated on technological advances.

  • Gather and assess information about reporting formats, costs, and security needs to decide on hardware configurations.

  • Take part in software testing, validation, programming, and documentation activities.

  • Offer technical guidance and help resolve programming issues.

  • Write or review system specifications, such as output needs and flowcharts.

  • Assist with project planning using management tools.

  • Review testing outcomes, document test procedures, and record corrective actions.

  • Ensure thorough problem analysis and programming strategies to avoid rework and delays.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Identify and understand problems and opportunities, analyze data from multiple sources to draw conclusions.

  • Communicate information clearly and effectively to individuals or groups, ensuring understanding and engagement.

  • Choose appropriate solutions or courses of action based on facts, constraints, and likely outcomes.

  • Maintain a good level of technical and professional knowledge relevant to the role and stay current with industry trends.

  • Build collaborative relationships to help achieve work goals.

  • Focus on client needs and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Occasionally work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, or be on-call.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Science (required), Computer Engineering, or Data Science.

  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Willingness to travel less than 25%.

  • Hybrid work model.
