About the Role
The Associate Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer contributes to the design, build, testing, and deployment of enterprise automations under the mentorship of senior developers and the RPA Architect. This role focuses on low-to-moderate complexity automation projects, ongoing monitoring, and first-line troubleshooting. It offers a dynamic learning environment, mentorship opportunities, and a clear path toward advancing into mid-level RPA development.
Responsibilities
- Develop secure and maintainable automations in UiPath (attended and unattended) for well-defined business processes.
- Build workflows within UiPath’s REFramework under senior developer guidance.
- Monitor bots in production, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes for low-complexity defects.
- Prepare and update technical documentation (PDDs, SDDs, runbooks) to support audits and knowledge transfer.
- Perform unit testing and assist with user acceptance testing in line with industry best practices.
- Follow coding standards, QA processes, and recommend incremental improvements.
- Learn new automation tools, scripting languages, and best practices as opportunities arise.
- Assist senior developers with process mapping, data gathering, and code reviews within Agile delivery cycles.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: C#, VB.NET, or Python.
- Familiarity with PowerShell, JavaScript, or SQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to align technical solutions with business requirements and follow detailed specifications.
- Effective communication skills, including clear documentation and status reporting.
- Growth mindset with openness to feedback and mentoring.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of software development experience.
- 6+ months hands-on UiPath Studio experience (preferred).
- Familiarity with UiPath’s REFramework and RPA testing practices.
- Exposure to Citrix or other virtualized environments.
- Experience in Agile or iterative development environments.
- Relevant certifications such as UiPath Automation Developer Associate, Microsoft Power Automate Fundamentals, or Automation Anywhere Essentials.
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
