About the Role

The RPA Lead will play a pivotal role in driving the design, deployment, and expansion of automation and agent solutions. This position is responsible for shaping governance frameworks, managing vendor relationships, and building a skilled team to deliver cutting-edge, compliant automation capabilities. The role is based in the Belfast office as part of the Data & Workflow Platform Team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and scaling of agentic AI and automation solutions across multiple business functions.
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks for automation initiatives, including risk control, pipeline management, and benefits realization.
  • Oversee operational management of live automation and AI processes, ensuring reliability, performance, and issue resolution.
  • Define governance standards for agentic AI in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring compliance, ethical use, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of automation agents, from deployment to continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate multi-agent systems for collaborative problem-solving.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, providing training, coaching, and development opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, including service quality, contract compliance, and cost optimization.
  • Oversee licensing, upgrades, and renewals for automation platforms.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for automation-related issues.
  • Identify new opportunities by collaborating with stakeholders and promoting adoption of automation solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends to inform strategy and drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with at least 2+ years of people management.
  • Strong project and program management capabilities with proven success in delivery.
  • Expertise in RPA platforms and agent technologies (e.g., Blue Prism, Power Platform, Copilot Studio).
  • Skilled in supplier and vendor management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, accessible documentation for non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and quality outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in leading cross-functional automation initiatives in a large organization.
  • Advanced understanding of governance standards for agentic AI.
  • Familiarity with building multi-agent systems.
  • Background in developing automation strategies aligned with business transformation goals.
