About the Role
This position offers the opportunity to design and deliver impactful automation solutions that improve business operations and efficiency. The role involves building and maintaining high-quality, maintainable automation scripts, integrating with databases and business systems, and supporting Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technologies. Candidates should bring a strong software development background and hands-on experience with RPA platforms, database management, and automation scripting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain RPA solutions that automate business processes
- Design and implement workflow-based automation components
- Write and maintain SQL queries for data extraction and automation
- Document requirements, design, scope, and functionality for all solutions
- Ensure code quality and compliance with development standards
- Support and monitor automated systems to ensure stability and reliability
- Collaborate across teams to understand business needs and deliver solutions
- Assist with reporting needs using tools like Cognos, RDLC, or SQL Reporting Services
- Ensure compliance with IT and risk management policies
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), using Agile where applicable
- Provide support for daily job schedules and system activities
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in RPA development and maintenance
- 3+ years of experience in workflow automation
- Proficiency in Java and SQL
- Strong understanding of RPA tools and automation scripting
- Experience with Oracle and AS400 systems
- Familiarity with utilities/reporting tools (e.g., Cognos, Microsoft Visual Studio)
- Understanding of the Robotic Development Life Cycle (RDLC)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Blue Prism RPA platform
- Experience with Pega Workflow
- Knowledge of low-code development tools
- Exposure to enterprise banking systems or regulated environments
